What a perfect wedding to kick off my first wedding season under my own company! Abigail and Nathan were a dream couple to work with. Their vision was to have a timeless, traditional wedding with a twist of themselves added in. Satin dresses. Simple votive candles. Garden/fairy-like florals that brought the wedding to life. They wanted it to feel elegant, but whimsical. Their hope was that it would be a night for everyone to remember with lots of yummy tacos, airy florals and an epic dance party! Check, check and check!

Abigail and Nathan had a timeless, spring wedding with the most beautiful, delicate florals, and yes, the yummiest tacos (with chips & salsa at each table, too)! Their wedding took place at The Black Pearl on the Columbia in Washougal, Washington. This stunning, industrial venue is right on the Columbia River Waterfront and it is the perfect venue for a big crowd (they had about 240 guests)! It is also completely indoors, which is safe for an event at any time of the year in the PNW. We had their ceremony take place upstairs, looking out onto the Columbia River. The buffet dinner was held downstairs while the dance party was brought back upstairs to end the night! One of my favorite parts of this venue (as a vendor) is that there is no flip required between the ceremony and reception. The Black Pearl has enough chairs for both! Phew!

Now, let’s talk about some fun details that made their wedding day stand out! Although not necessarily uncommon, it’s always a special touch to have any form of live music. Abigail and Nathan had their ceremony processional and their first dance song played live by a friend and family member. It made those big moments that much more emotional and memorable! Another fun detail would have to be the delicious churros for dessert. I see lots of cake, cupcakes, tarts and cookies for wedding desserts, which are all delicious, but the churros were a perfect touch. Abigail and Nathan’s wedding is a day I will forever look back fondly on. Their love and excitement to enter this chapter of life was so perfectly captured throughout the day!
